We recently wrapped up some shows down east and we also made our first trip out to the Folk Alliance music conference in Memphis, TN. I just finished updating the blog about the last two weekends. Check out the Blog page to read about our trips and see some neat pictures and video! http://barefootmovement.wordpress.com/
Our next show is March 17th for "This Ain't Your Mama's Bluegrass," a new concert series in Louisburg, NC. This is a show worth traveling for, even if you're a couple hours away. Not only will we be playing, but also Ed Snodderly, who was seen by millions in the film "O Brother Where Art Thou?." This guy is one of the most dynamic performers I've ever seen. He's a phenomenal singer, renown songwriter and top-notch musician - the trifecta of what makes a good live act! Finally, the Hillbenders, the 2009 Telluride Band Competition winners, will be closing the night. This up and coming act is going to be a household name at all the festivals pretty soon! Don't miss this chance to see all three bands in one great venue. Here's the website for the event:
The organizers are looking for folks in the piedmont region of NC to be a part of the street team. You can score tickets to the show and other cool items if you want to help out. See the website for more details.
Tickets are on sale now online, but you can also buy them, as well as a copy of our album, at Nits-Nats Music in Henderson, NC. Purchase them here to eliminate the $3.00 service charge that you have to pay at the box office! Friend Nits Nats on Facebook for more details: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001634514229"
This will be our last performance for a while. We're taking some time off to prepare for our next record, which is going to go down in early May. We're hoping for a fall release. We'll see what happens!
As always, we are so grateful for all the love and support.

Hello everyone!
Just a quick update to let you know we've added a blog page as well as a press page to the website! The blog will be updated after our shows or any other noteworthy events. The promo page is where you can go to read any reviews or interviews that have been published. There's a wonderful review of Footwork by our dear friend Mr. Adam Steffey that you should definitely check out. We are very much obliged to Adam for taking the time to tell people about "The Movement!" So head to the promo page and check it out!
Our next show is at Down Home on February 16th with our friends Driftwood, from Binghamton, NY. These guys are awesome so if you're in the Johnson City area, you don't want to miss this! Tickets are just $10, and $5 for students. Here's a link to their website: http://driftwoodtheband.com/
Next we're headed to Myrtle Beach, SC for a lovely event called South by Southeast. This is going to be a fun night of music and food, so if you think you're up to heading down south with us, check out the event here: http://www.southbysoutheast.org/
Finally, we cannot wait to make the haul to Memphis for the 24th International Folk Alliance Conference. We're so honored to be official showcasing artists, and we are so looking forward to meeting and making friends with as many people as we can. And hey, we've never played Memphis, so that's a plus!
Check the shows page to see where else we're headed in the coming months! Till then, be good and stay warm! (Who am I kidding, it's 63 degrees in Jonesborough today! Is it really February?!)

Hey Folks!
After an awesome summer of shows, an August northeast tour, and a number of good gigs last September and October, we decided it's time for a website update!
First off, We have had an awesome bass player with us for these past few months, the fabulous Miss Hasee Ciaccio! Although she is just under 5ft tall, you would never know from listening to her dominate that upright bass. Check out our media page and watch some of our videos to see her in action!
Speaking of videos, Tommy has just finished uploading some awesome live footage from our Turnage Theater show. Click Here to check them out! Along with the video update, we have added a store page to the site. You can now purchase our CD, or download some Mp3s right from our website!
Last but certainly not least, We are extremely happy to announce that Jared Ingersol will be helping us with booking starting in 2012! Send any booking inquiries to him and don't worry, you're in good hands! You can check out his website at jaredingersol.com
Thanks for reading and Happy Holidays!

Greetings!
Just in time for Father's Day, our debut album "Footwork" has finally arrived!
You can order a physical copy, (complete with a neat CD insert which we're quite proud of!), or you can download the tracks from CD Baby. Here is the link to our page: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/barefootmovement
We apologize for the delay but we are overjoyed to have the CD's in hand at last! We hope you enjoy the new music, as well as the new recordings of some of our older songs.
Quentin and Noah are headed to the Czech Republic with the Old-Time Pride Band of East Tennessee State University on this coming Tuesday. But they'll soon be back on this side of the pond, with a summer full of Barefoot Movement shows to look forward to.
So in the meantime have a happy Father's Day, a lovely Independence Day, and an all around barefoot-spirited summer!
